  • Whole-Home Rewires: Complete replacement of aging and unsafe wiring.

  • Partial & Phased Rewires: Bring older homes up to modern safety and capacity standards in stages.

  • Aluminum-to-Copper: Replace risky aluminum wiring with safer copper conductors.

What Year Was It Built?

YOUR HOME'S ERA, DECODED

PRE-1950

Knob-and-tube territory. Insurers increasingly refuse to cover it, and it was never designed for grounded appliances.

1950s-60s

Cloth-insulated copper and 100-amp service. The copper is fine, the crumbling insulation and capacity are not.

1965-1975

The aluminum branch wiring era. The fire risk lives at the connections, full replacement or proper pigtailing only.

1980s

Wiring is usually solid, but these are the Federal Pacific panel years. Check the label before trusting the box.

1990s+

Modern Romex and grounded outlets. Usually just short on circuits for EVs, offices, and modern kitchens.

ANY ERA

Two-prong outlets mean ungrounded circuits. A three-prong adapter hides the problem, it does not fix it.

Uncommon Sense

THINGS WORTH KNOWING

Good To Know

Two-prong outlets usually mean no ground wire. An adapter does not fix that, it just hides it.

Good To Know

Aluminum wiring from the 1960s and 70s is a known fire risk at connections. It can be fully replaced or properly pigtailed.

Good To Know

If your lights dim when the AC kicks on, your wiring or panel is undersized. That is diagnosable in one visit.

Good To Know

A rewire does not mean destroying your walls. Most of the work happens through small, planned access points.
